I am honored to be your child’s math teacher.  I look forward to working with you and your child in reaching his/her full potential.  We will have many wonderful experiences and opportunities to learn and grow in the days ahead.

I believe that communication is the key to a great parent-teacher relationship.  I encourage you to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.  You can send me a note with your child, contact me by leaving a message at the school office, or email me directly at sjouthe@is234.org.  I will also do my part by updating Pupilpath as often as possible for you to keep track of your child’s progress.  For individual concerns, I will contact you by phone or email (email preferred).

School assignments and homework assignments are extremely important in preparation for the State Exams and the success of your child.  The assignments given are the crucial practice your child needs to succeed in math this year.  Homework will be given and checked weekly.  Late homework will be penalized (except for absent students).  Please monitor the completion of your child’s homework.  Tests will be administered at the end of each topic taught.  Tests will be sent home with your child and should be copied, reviewed, and brought back to school to place in student folder.

This school year will be a great success with the help of all involved and I am looking forward to it!  Any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact me.  Thank you in advance for all your support!
